Reporting a bug
A clear report makes a problem much easier to reproduce. When you email a bug report, please include:
- Both devices, for example iPhone 15 and a Windows 11 laptop.
- The browser and version on each device, for example Safari 18 and Chrome 130.
- Whether the devices were on the same Wi-Fi network or on different networks, such as mobile data.
- The approximate size and type of the file.
- What happened, what you expected, and any error message shown. Say at what point it went wrong, too: connecting, accepting, or partway through.
Keep your transfers private
Never email room links, room codes or the files themselves. Anyone with a room link can join that room while it is open, and a description of the problem is enough. If a file is part of the issue, describe it (size, type, name pattern) instead of attaching it.
Security issues and common questions
To report a vulnerability, follow the steps in the security issue reporting guidelines. Many common questions about size limits, networks and browsers are answered in the frequently asked questions on the homepage.
