Terms of use
These terms explain the ground rules for using Volo, in plain language. By using the site, you agree to them.

Using Volo
Volo is a free web app for sending files and text directly between two devices. You don't need an account. To use it, you need a modern WebRTC-capable browser on both devices, and both must stay open and online while a transfer runs.
Acceptable use
Use Volo only for lawful purposes, and only to share content you have the right to share with people who want to receive it. Respect the other person in the room. Don't send files they haven't agreed to receive.
Prohibited content and activity
You must not use Volo to:
- Send or receive illegal content.
- Distribute malware, viruses or any other harmful code.
- Share content you have no right to share, including material that infringes someone else's copyright or other rights, or private information about others without permission.
- Harass, threaten or abuse anyone.
- Try to disrupt, overload or interfere with the service or its infrastructure, or try to join, monitor or interfere with other people's rooms.
Your responsibility
- You are responsible for the files and text you send, and for the files you choose to accept.
- You are responsible for who you share room links with. Anyone who has a link can join that room while it is open.
- Transfers can fail or be interrupted, and there is no resume. Keep your own copy of anything important until you have confirmed it arrived intact.
Availability
Volo is offered free of charge. It may change, pause or stop at any time, with or without notice. It also depends on third-party infrastructure, including its hosting provider, a public signaling server and public STUN servers. If any of these are unavailable, Volo may not work.
No warranty
Volo is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. That includes any warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that a transfer will succeed. See the security overviewfor what Volo does and doesn't protect.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the maintainer of Volo is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of Volo, or from not being able to use it. This includes lost or corrupted files, failed transfers and content received from other people.
Intellectual property
You keep all rights to the files and text you send. Volo doesn't receive or store them, and claims no rights over them. The Volo name, logo and site content belong to its maintainer, Umang Pancholi.
Changes to the service and these terms
Volo and these terms may change over time. When the terms change, the “Last updated” date above will change too. If you keep using Volo after a change, you accept the updated terms. How information is handled is covered separately in the privacy policy.
